Согласно рассматриваемому подходу современное гуманитарное образование на всех уровнях вплоть до университетского должно опираться на навыки критического мышления. Основой для критического мышления представляется «сократическое мышление», и оно же является фундаментом для развития современной демократии. Подвергнуто критике происходящее при этом смешение понятий, в ходе которого древнегреческая демократия приравнивается к современной, сократическое мышление – к критическому, «гуманитарность» отождествляется с «гуманностью». Показана неприменимость соответствующих концептов к условиям современного общества, что позволяет сделать вывод об утопичности проекта. </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper analyzes the conception of the development of education in the Humanities in the theory of the famous American philosopher Martha C. Nussbaum. According to her approach, modern education in the humanities on all the levels up to the university level must be based on skills of critical thinking. The “Socratic thinking” is represented as the basis for critical thinking as well as for development of modern democracy.
