Scientific degree as a “curve mirror” of Russian science

Abstract

This paper considers the reasons on which process of assignment of scientific degrees in Russia has undergone serious distortions and became «a curve mirror of Russian science». Limitation and doubtful efficiency of administrative measures on correction of position are shown, the necessity of radical restructurings of all system of preparation of the scientific and scientifically-educational contingents is affirmed. The basic directions of such transformationsare offered.
