1977 - Candidate of Sciences thesis on the topic "Investigation of the electrophysical properties of the real surface of semiconductors during surface doping with metals" defended,

1988 - Academic title of Associate Professor at the Department of Semiconductor Devices conferred,

1997 - Doctor of Sciences thesis on the topic "Electronic state of the GaAs and InP surface: diagnostics, control, passivation" defended,

2000 - Academic title of Professor at the Department of Solid State Electronics conferred.

Professional activities

During the period from 1977 to 2001, he worked as an Assistant, Associate Professor, Professor at the Faculty of Physics of the UNN. In 2001, he was appointed Head of postgraduate and doctoral studies at the UNN. Since 2003, he has been Director of the Institute of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies, Head of the Center for Science Studies and Development of Postgraduate Education, Professor of the Department of University Management and Innovation in Education at the UNN.

Scientific and organizational work

Deputy Chief Editor of the journal "Vestnik of the Lobachevsky University of Nizhni Novgorod. Series: Social Sciences", member of the editorial boards of the leading Russian journals in higher education: "Higher education in Russia", "University management: practice and analysis"; member of the UNN Academic Council, Chairman of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the UNN Institute of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies.

Research is supported by Russian and international programs and grants. He has published more than 250 works, including 5 books and more than 30 study guides.
