Abstract
The article addresses the prospects of modernization of the Russian doctoral programs in education in the context of its internationalization. The author analyzes the challenges that arise in front of the Russian educational postgraduate school in connection with the vector of its modernization and internationalization. Based on the analysis of doctoral programs in education of the world leading universities (top 25 QS rankings in the subject «Education ») and the study of the discussion in the scientific literature, the author identifies the main patterns and trends of development of doctoral programs in education in the modern world. This analysis allows to specify challenges and opportunities that Russian educational postgraduate school faces in the process of modernization and internationalization.

Abstract
Development of the in-service training system is one of the strategic elements of the university personnel politics. In Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov the system of in-service training is viewed in the context of life-long academic development of the teaching staff. The article presents the University's experience of developing and implementation of module-based accrual system of in-service training which is organized in a number of priority fields of academic development: pedagogy and psychology of professional education, information-communication technologies in education, educational management and technologies of project-based work, technologies of research and innovations, internationalization in education and research.

Abstract
The article addresses the experience of the North-Caucasian Federal University in the sphere of social formation of such personal qualities as all-Russian civil and civilizational identity, patriotism, culture of Russian oral and written speech, culture of interethnic and interfaith dialogue, legal culture, culture of social responsibility. These qualities are important for every young person irrelatively of training area. The author adduces the results of the surveys of young people in the North Caucasus Federal district conducted by a team of scientists of the North Caucasus Federal University and South scientific center of RAS (in the period 2009-2014) aimed at determination the «identity matrix» ofthe North Caucasian society.

Abstract
The theory of epistemological diversity is one of the modern trends in epistemology. Basing on this theory, the author gives a description of a special kind of knowledge - subject-practical knowledge. On author"s opinion the education system works both with scientific and subject-practical knowledge and it leads to a strategic contradiction because treatment of two different types of knowledge cannot be effectively implemented in standardized forms. The paper discusses the changes in the educational strategy required by a situation of coexistence of the two types of knowledge in higher education.

Abstract
The 6'h annual International and regional IGIP conference and a methodological seminar of the State Technical University - MADI took place on March 18, 2016. Within the framework of the conference the journal Vysshee obrazovanie v Rossii [Higher Education in Russia] has conducted a workshop. Abstract
Education strategies practiced in modern Russia are analyzed in terms of their validity and adequacy to the present day realities. We argue that the educational reality constructed in the course of reforming sometimes takes the converted forms, and this makes them unsuccessful. There is a need for systematic correction of policies and state strategies in the field of education in order to meet contemporary challenges and needs of Russia.

Abstract
The paper considers a burning for young researchers question how to write a scientific paper in the Russian and English languages. Since the requirements, recommendations and guidelines on the scientific paper structure presented in scientific and academic literature are mainly miscellaneous and often controversial, the author proposes to solve the problem using an invariant "Intergenre model of scientific text" providing a writer with a universal and basic algorithm for text generating activity.

Abstract
This paper examines some of the current issues and challenges of teaching academic writing to non-native speakers of English faced by Russian institutions within the current education paradigm. The findings are drawn from an analysis of samples of scientific works (project proposals) produced by 4th year students at the National Research University - Higher School of Economics. The paper offers an interpretation of what underlies the challenges and some possible solutions to the issues discussed.

The features of educational and methodical work at technical university are considered. These features allow to fulfill requirements of the regional enterprises for training personnel adapted to regional production specifics. The requirements of a definite enterprise take form of an "adapted professional standard" according to which the pivotal university designs educational programs using educational adaptable modules. university. Abstract
This article considers different aspects in building the export policy of educational services in the global education market and the education of international students in Russian universities. The article is aimed at emphasizing the growing attention of the universities to this kind of activities and the expansion of the borders of the current cooperation in the area of educational services for international students in Russia. We consider the issues of attracting and recruiting of international students among the compatriots and their staying in the region after the study in order to solve the demographic problem in regions, to meet a lack of professionals in technical areas, to reunify with the native nation. The authors present the experience of Ukhta State Technical University in international partnership, analyze the Russian and foreign universities' practice in such issues as how to recruit, attract and work with international students. The article highlights the activity of business-incubator UGTU in the context of forming the image of the university. The potential for optimization of university's image elements through the communication work with various target audiences of the university is covered. The article describes the university "s image elements such as the image of educational services, students' image, internal image of the organization, university rector "s image, the image of teaching staff and personnel, the social image of the organization, the visual image of the organization, business organization"s image through the prism of education and information activities of the business incubator. Abstract
The article considers the problem of communicative competence development and speech culture formation of graduates of modern higher education institutions as regards the Russian language. The presented empirical material shows students' typical language and speech mistakes. Abstract
The paper analyzes the Federal Law on Education in the Russian Federation and the articles of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation regulating the specific features of working activity of educators. The author demonstrates irrationality of absence of corruption-related crime among the list of the crimes, which prevent professional educational activity. In the author's view, this gap negatively affects the process of education and character development of the students, and complicates the control of corruption in education.
